Open Sky Stables is located near Galena, Illinois in the rolling hills of Jo Daviess County – a stone’s throw from the Mississippi River. Board your horse at a private, well-maintained barn with all the amenities of commercial operation and none of the crowds.
All breeds, disciplines, ages and sex are welcome. We welcome everyone from hunter-jumpers to western pleasure and trail riders. Our large indoor (75′ x 200′) and outdoor (2 acre) arenas, and miles upon miles of trails, will accommodate all riders with ease. We can facilitate training, farrier and vet work, and coordinate all your transportation needs. Custom feed options and specialized care available. Staff work and live on site.
